In honor of Wilma Rudolph, the Wilma “Skeeter” Rudolph Scholarship is awarded to two collegiate African-American females who will be participating in athletics during college. This scholarship is to assist in the retention of African American female students as well as aid them in completing their academic careers.

Scholarship:
- Ranges from $250 – $1000 awarded during the Fall or Spring Semester
- One-time award
- All scholarship funding will be sent to the institution and cannot be issued directly to the student
Eligibility
- Open to an incoming freshman, African-American female student-athlete planning to attend Austin Peay State University or Tennessee State University.
- Residing in Montgomery County, Tennessee, or Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
- Must be a senior graduating in 2023 from a Clarksville-Montgomery County High School, Fort Campbell High School, or Clarksville Private High School.
- Minimum 2.75 cumulative Grade Point Average

- Essay: In 500 words or less why you should be considered for this scholarship and how does your life parallel to Wilma Rudolph’s life. Discuss your most significant challenge or accomplishment, why it was significant and what did you learn from your experience.
- Letter of recommendation.
- At least (1) one letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or guidance counselor
- Transcript from high school.
- Application and materials must be submitted no later than 4:30 pm on March 31, 2023.
